Blog post 6: Time travel to future, endless possibilities

Hello everyone! In this blog, I’m going to be talking about time travel to the future. 

When thinking about the future, for most of us, it is uncertain. We don’t know what is going to happen to us in the next few minutes and we also don’t know when or where we are going to die. However, we have seen in sci-fi movies, TV series or books, how the future might look like or what could happen, and even scientists and innovators have already been thinking and creating new technological advances in order to make our lives easier and better.

Yet we always can make predictions and guess what the future would look like. 

I actually don’t have a specific place to go, but I would definitely like to see my country in the years ahead. For example, seeing how everything looks in 100 years forward, would be very interesting and at the same time, terrifying. I imagine having a life as you can see in the movie “Blade Runner”, in which human beings make out their lives at night rather than in daylight (which makes sense considering the high temperatures and radiation existing in that world). Flying cars and vertical constructions are just a few examples of changes that could happen. We already have high buildings for people to live in, but imagine having entire cities underground or very high in the sky. I think it would be awesome. }

Considering that, I wouldn’t like to stay there, since it would be very difficult to adapt to the way of living people could have and even having the possibility of going to the future and then, going back to my present, could make me question my entire perception of life. So, it is definitely a difficult question and decision to make.

    Back in the 50's they used to say there will be flying cars in the 2000.... I'm still waiting tho xD

    I love that we have very similar ideas about the future! with all the technological advances that there are day by day,, we really do not know what to expect at this point haha

Blog post 5 - My Future Job

 Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog. In this fifth post I would like to talk about my future job as an architect. When I picture myself in my future job, I imagine being in a nice working environment, meeting kind co-workers as well as being personally true to myself and what I love. As an architect, I would like to be part of sustainable and environmentally well-managed projects in which I could be able to design and plan buildings that could both contribute and transform the existing damage to our natural resources. Along with that, materials that are massively useful in order to find confortable and well-qualified living spaces. Blog post 7: Changes to my study programme - Architecture

  Hello everyone! In this blog, I will be talking about what changes could be made to my study programme. Firstly, it's relevant to mention that I'm currently studying architecture, which similarly to design or geography, implies a constant mixture between theory and practice. The last ones being in many cases not totally productive since, most of the times, the hours taken to classes and study time are much more than the hours proposed in the first place. This issue has been more evident with the current online system. Requiring to be sited in our laptops the entire day and, as a consequence, limiting the performance that one could have in each subject and the necessary commitment to the contents.  In addition, an important aspect I think the University owes to the students, is the stance in regards to the technological changes in the use of computer programs.
